Korea Art Forum announces Murray Hill Lights (MHL), a public light installation opening in Murray Hill, Queens, in June.

New York, May 30, 2026 — Korea Art Forum (KAF) invites you to the official unveiling ceremony of the Murray Hill Lights (MHL), a public light installation in Murray Hill, Queens, in June. MHL is a multi-colored light installation that transforms Barton Ave into a safe, vibrant public space. MHL expands art, transforming everyday life into a platform for creativity.
The MHL Unveiling Ceremony held on Barton Ave on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, will present performing arts programming. Traditional Korean dance and drumming performance from Songhee Chung Lee Group will take place from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM; the Unveiling Ceremony with remarks from guest speakers and community representatives will take place from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM; Traditional Indian dance performance from Jiva Performing Arts will take place from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Additional performing cultural arts programming, Murray Hill Drum & Dance (MHD), presented by Korea Art Forum and curated by Xung (Sunghyun Jang) will be held on Sundays, June 21 and 28, 2026, on Barton Avenue in Murray Hill, Queens.
MHD brings together DJs, public art, and live performance to activate the block through rhythm, movement, and accessible public engagement. MHD is designed for an inter-generational audience, and creates an open and welcoming atmosphere in Murray Hill.
